Bay of Plenty Branch Report

The Bay of Plenty branch has been very fortunate this year with an amazing range of high calibre guest speakers and presentations.

We’ve had four very knowledgeable and locally based guest speakers over the course of the year.

The year began in February with an in depth and detailed overview of paediatric dentistry in New Zealand thanks to Katie Ayers (Paediatric Dentist).

In March, a very knowledgeable Michelle Handley (Insurance Advisor) presented us with a very eye opening and thought provoking topic regarding risk management in business.

We’ve had an up-to-date presentation and discussion with Dan Smethurst (Orthodontist) regarding the periodontal and orthodontic interface.

Finally, we’ve also had a fantastic presentation and accompanying workshop describing the unlimited benefits of extra and intraoral photography in the dental surgery. Thanks to a local dentist, Chris Anderson.

A couple of peer contact sessions have also been scheduled for next month depending on member demand and availability.

I’d also like to take the time to thank all the Bay of Plenty branch members who have had a hand in helping to organise and support these meetings this year. Without you all, these meetings would not have been possible.
