Canterbury Branch Report

Please find the Canterbury branch report that was missed out in the last newsletter:

We had a great start to 2012 with 18 members attending a presentation by our local Prosthodontist. The topic was rehabilitation of the severely eroded dentition. It was interesting to see the different ways worn teeth can be restored and the thinking process needed to create a good solution for the patient. At the meeting we said good bye to two hygienists who are moving away from Christchurch in March. We wish them all the best in their new life! On the back for the resoundingly successful seminar held in 2011, our members voted to run another Canterbury NZDHA Seminar in 2012. Those of you interested in popping over to Christchurch mark your diaries - Saturday 15th September 2012! Invitations to register will be sent to all branch chairpersons. The Canterbury seminar will be run this year but not 2013 as the national conference is being held in the south island. Many of the branch are planning to attend the national conference in Wellington this year. We have a social committee who are tasked with planning social get togethers for our branch members during this year. We found the earthquakes during 2011 really put a spanner in the workings of our branch. We are looking to remedy that this year.
